The Allen Community College Music Department is hosting Swing Night.
The jazz-themed event is a fundraiser for the college’s music department. Proceeds will help provide scholarships, field trips, uniforms and instruments for future Allen music students.
Doors open for the dancing event at 6:30 p.m. on April 17 at the Allen County Country Club. Roger Campbell will provide dance lessons at 7 p.m. Swing and salsa dance moves will be on tap.
At 8 p.m. the Allen Jazz Band and Devils Fyre Vocal Jazz Ensemble will take the stage. They will be joined by special guests from Emporia.
Door prizes and three raffle prizes will spice up the night. Tickets are available at the door.
Swing Night tickets are $15 a piece or $25 for couples.
